When we use the meeseeksdev command, it points to an actual account: https://github.com/meeseeksdev

So this person is getting notified every time we use a command? Or am I getting confused?

I am also confused here. The account is fairly recent, created on October 15, 2021.

Before the creation of this account, was it pointing to nothing? (I don't really know how those bots work honestly)

The account was likely created after I created the box. I can change what used to mention the bot.

It might be nice to also create a fake account for this new name. So that this situation does not happen again?

we can mention @MeeseeksBox (this org) or @meeseeksmachine which is the bot itself. and technically the @ is not necessary IIrc.

I see that @meseeksdev has a "bot" label. Could @meeseeksmachine get on too? See jupyterlab/jupyterlab#11935 (comment) which is one instance of many where users get confused and try to chat with it.
