Changing group of an already shared page or object does not work

When a page or a portlet has been shared to a group and the share-to-group should be changed, the process produces no error but does not persist the change to metadata. There is no error in the logs.

This video shows the change of the group. Changing back to the preferences of the page the original group is still shown.

However, changing the share type from persistent to default works.
