Description
What happened?
#68450 describes the exact issue I have been troubleshooting, so I updated the salt-minion to 3006.18 and am still seeing the same issues.
We do see the new messaging in the minion log of "Found DC:\\DC02" as well as accurate values for the other additional logging "user_name: USER" and "domain_name: DOMAIN" showing the split is working but we are still seeing Invalid user: DOMAIN\user.
We tried to run salt '' user.info USER@DOMAIN.COM and salt '' user.info DOMAIN\USER but get an empty result (empty dictionary).
The salt-minion experiencing the issue is running on a newer version than the master.
Type of salt install
