There are a million ways to start a script when a linux system boots. Here is a tutorial which seems pretty sane:

I will get around to this eventually, if someone wants to beat me to it - PRs appreciated 👍

This is somewhat closed by this commit: 119c4d7

However, this is still not as stream-lined as it can be. So I am leaving this issue open.
