Configurator in Linux insists on finding Blender.app instead of plain "blender" file #17

Just installed the app and I had to configure the path to my blender executable by editing the config file by hand, since it would insist in the GUI to find a "Blender.app" thing, that makes no sense only in MacOS.

I just downloaded and installed the .deb version ssp_1.0.19_amd64.deb and installed on Ubuntu 24.04, and go the same results - I cannot proceed past the required software notice because the program is looking for the MacOS version Blender.app
EDIT: the configuration file to edit was ~/.config/config.json, adding the line below in the "executables" section
"blender": "/usr/bin/blender",
