joplin-vscode-plugin

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Working with the plugin, I regularly have to switch to the "Explorer" sidebar to access the current document outline.

Describe the solution you'd like

It'd greatly smooth UX to have the outline view available in Joplin's sidebar

Describe alternatives you've considered

Switching back and forth with Explorer sidebar

Not really.

In the linked issue @danielb2 would like, as I understand it, the ToC to be generated in preview (and most probably output/export) when the [TOC] tag is present.

What I'd like is that the VSCode built-in Outline feature (the one in your screenshot) would be available in Joplin's sidebar to avoid switching between sidebars. Having it below the notes tree would be very handy, specially when restructuring notes.

Edited issue title to make it more clear

While at it, making the "Timeline" and "Backlinks" ones would surely ice the cake :)
