Two minor questions

• Can you move files in snapshots? I'd like to change directory structure, but don't want to have to reupload the whole repository (which is huge)
• Can you make backups/repository paths to be not absolute? I i specify "sources = ["/path/a"]" it later appears as "/path/a" and will be restored with that path. Ideally I'd like to point to "/path/a" and have it be the "root" of the backup, so all the files and restores are treatting it as a base path. This would also solve my first question.

Currently there is no rewrite command or something similar which would allow you to change the directory structure of an existing snapshot (which would anyway be not possible, but we could have something which would create a new snapshot from an existing one). But if you create a new snapshot with different paths but the same file contents of an existing path, rustic will use deduplication which means that at most new tree blobs are uploaded (typically a very small percentage of the data in a repository).

About your second questions, there are several options here. First, it is perfectly possible to backup a relative path, e.g. backup . if your working directory is /path/a. Also there is the as-path option which does exactly what you are describing - setting a new custom path instead the one you specify (Note: this is currently restricted to the case where you specify a single path to backup). About restoring, there is the <SNAP>:<PATH> syntax, i.e. you can use rustic restore latest:/path/a which would use that as base path for restoring.
