Description
The rust-netlink crates have seen very little maintainer activity for a while:
- Remove #[non_exhaustive] on some structs #21 was opened in 2023, it's now 2025, that PR is still unreviewed.
- Other crates like
netlink-packet-utils
also have PRs dating from 2 years ago, without receiving feedback. - The Fuchsia people ended up making a hard fork (!): Use thiserror Errors instead of relying on anyhow netlink-packet-utils#13 (comment)
Perhaps it would be better if there are new maintainers (even if only part-time) to look after the crates? After all, the rust-netlink has only 1 member right now very few active members right now.
Thoughts?
