Override FutureProvider with AsyncValue

Before v2.0.0-dev.9 I can override FutureProvider with AsyncValue to test UI under different states. For example:

  Widget build(BuildContext context, WidgetRef ref) {
    final notifier = useState(const AsyncLoading<TestData>());

    return Column(children: [
      HookBuilder(builder: (context) => ProviderScope(

          dataFutureProvider.overrideWithValue(notifier.value), // `dataFutureProvider` providers data to `View`.
        ],
        child: View(),
      )),
      ViewController(notifier: notifier),
    ]);
  }
}

I can simply control the loading state of View with ViewController by updating notifier.value. Is there any equivalent method to do this in v2.0.0? I would like to stick to FutureProviders if possible.

Is there a workaround for testing that the different states of an AsyncValue rendered a different UI?

Awesome, that last bit with the completer was what I was missing

@chimon2000 Would you care to share a widget test where you have implemented the above fix. Trying it on my end and it is very confusing unsure of what to do.
Also @rrousselGit any input you can have on this would be helpful.

For context in an onPressed I have

Where putDataProvider is a FutureProviderFamily<void, Object>
