Spaces should not be removed when more than one is used

Issue:

Correct:       Latlong             (-l) SRS:  4326 (none)
Wrong: Latlong ( −l) SRS: 4326 (none)

Error description: when more than one space is used, spaces might not be removed (and possibly the font might be switched to monospaced; e.g., <pre> tag).
