Support for date format [dd.MM.yy, h:mm:ss PM]

Hi, I was trying to load some older exports into this when I still used my phone in german and it said that the chats.txt contained no messages. That is incorrect though. Is this maybe because of the language of the chat export? If yes can we get a feature to select which language the export is in?

It should auto detect the backup language. Maybe your backup is in a format that the app doesn't understand yet. Can you upload an example?

Oh yup, the export is quite old, dezember 2024, created with an iPhone, here a small snipet:

Check latest version, let me know if it still doesn't work for you.

I'm on the latest version now, v1.30.4.
Still: No messages found in chat file: _chat.txt The file was loaded but no messages could be parsed. This may indicate: 1. The date format is not recognized 2. The file structure is different from expected 3. The file may be corrupted First line of file: "[05.08.23, 5:52:02 PM] Hana: ‎Messages and calls are end-to-end encrypted. No one outside of this chat, not even WhatsApp, can read or listen to them." Please report this issue with information about your WhatsApp version and phone model.

As mentioned export is from an iPhone running latest WhatsApp as of dezember 2024.
