Issue with connection to QGIS?

Thanks for making this software available. I am trying to set it up on our windows tablet. We previously used ArcPad, but would like to use Roam since we use qGIS for all our other work.

I have downloaded Roam version 2.7.1 and am trying to set up a tree inventory form. I have added our data forms (shapefiles) to the data folder, but when I try to "add layers in QGIS" I get the following message:

Hoping that this is just a simple fix and I am missing something, any help is appreciated!
