Spacing between elements on a page #267

This might only happen rarely, but we do have instances where elements on a page seem to be overly stacked together. The image/text combinations are too close:

I cheated with \ but the last one is visible.

I was able, through experimentation, to use the old   and fix some of the spacing issues that arise with text, but once things like embedded videos or numbered lists are involved then it doesn't work (see the links above marked testing). Any tips?
