The other option to host on the same pc for yourself and others is to port forward (if you're using a router) and open up the ports that allow traffic (other players) to connect to that server on the host machine. Another way is to use a remote/cloud option and see if they offer firewall/security settings to open the same ports. The ports to open can be found in the config.json file.
This is a common thing for people hosting servers for games directly off their machines at home and not something that's 'fixed' by updating the server.
I'm not speaking for the Erupe team but from personal experience when hosting many other game servers before.
Currently it appears that the server admin and other players cannot play together without a VPN.
Are there any plans to fix this?
