Releasing Restate 1.6 #3988
Description
This is the umbrella issue for tracking efforts for releasing Restate 1.6:
Main features of the 1.6 release
- Automatic RocksDB memory configuration based on running partitions (b508b9d)
- Partition driven log trimming (replaces the CC driven log trimming logic) (d5244a2)
- New deployments API (updating existing deployments, addition of breaking flag, returning 200 when doing idempotent changes) (fafc03f)
- Manually pausing individual invocations (8a932d7)
- Reworked network configuration of Restate (more flexibility for users to configure how different servers bind and advertise their addresses, using unix domain sockets) (b9b8f28)
- Support for storing partition snapshots on GCS and Azure object-store (cf64694)
- Warnings if cgroup limit is misaligned with rocksdb memory limit (cf64694)
- Various UI fixes
- DynamoDB based metadata store (3f66500)
