As this plugin basically manages the versions of releases, it would be in a good position to update citation files after this specification. Alternatively, a “command hook” would be feasible, so one could provide a command to update the version in the text file. For the current version I did not find such a possibility, instead one needs to do it in beforehand. Citation can be converted to different citation formats like BibTeX or formatted styles.
