@gradew for production we say you need 2G/core. so you'll need to limit the cores to 32cores. if you want full machine utilization. Typically for production we recommend you save 10% for the system. so 57-5 == 52/2 == 26 cores. you can achieve this with
Note you might have to to delete the data directory as we don't support cpu scaling down. |

Hi,
I am trying to run redpanda on a bit of an unusual machine with 64GB RAM and 96 logical CPU cores :)
After increasing fs.aio-max-nr to some 512MB to avoid getting the async i/o error, I am now getting this:
Jul 20 10:03:07 server201584 rpk[22850]: ERROR 2021-07-20 10:03:07,685 [shard 0] syschecks - Memory: '650117120' below recommended: '1073741824'
Did I set the aio-max-nr to something a little extreme maybe ?
Also, the machine currently has 57GB RAM free, so I'm not sure what the "below recommended" message is referring to :)
Do you have any pointers on this ?
Much appreciated!
Julien
