Issue problem:
After discussion with @garagatyi it seems that supporting Deployments in Kubernetes/OpenShift recipes is not a terribly difficult task. Regardless, we should spend a bit of time actually investigating how much effort it would take (and implementing at least a proof of concept if possible) to get a more accurate sense of how complex the changes will need to be.
