Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Current Behavior

The fleet-agent not able to fetch bundle from a Git repository on a new cluster creation.

In CI/CD, the bundle state shows in the WaitApplied state for that cluster.

Found a workaround, and I was able to resolve the issue by force reloading the Git Repo from the CI/CD section.

Found a similar issue here: https://forums.rancher.com/t/continuous-delivery-dashboard-shows-bundles-in-not-ready-state/39541/2

I am using fleet-agent:v0.8.0 in the Rancher v2.7.6
May I know, if we have a fix for this in a new release, if so, which version can I use?

Expected Behavior

The downstream cluster should receive bundle updates via fleet after cluster creation

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Register a VM to Rancher 2.7.6 and use fleet-agent 0.8.0
  2. Create a Repo and mention a Github repo in CI/CD and point it to the cluster
  3. Expect the bundle to be pushed to the cluster, but in this use case flee-agent can't find that bundle

Environment

- Architecture: Ubuntu 24
- Fleet Version: 0.8.0
- Cluster: Downstream cluster (under fleet-default nc)
  - Provider: Rancher
  - Options:
  - Kubernetes Version: 1.26
