Windows' implementation of virtual desktops has always bugged me, on laptops especially it could be so useful if it was not for the fact that I always have to create and delete every virtual desktop manually.
It would be cool to have a mod that makes the number of available virtual desktops available dynamic based on the presence of open windows in each desktop, much like how it works in GNOME:
If the last availablle virtual desktop has a window open, create a new one on the right, if any desktop is empty, delete it. Here's a video of an autohotkey script i have written to get the idea
