@k-doering-NOAA, good question. There is lots of obsolete stuff in here but some stuff that doesn't exist elsewhere like the spline-related files. I may delete the obsolete stuff and move the other things into https://github.com/r4ss/old_r4ss_files and then archive "old_r4ss_files" and delete "testing".
My hope is to move the r4ss repo into the nmfs-stock-synthesis organization but the r4ss organization can remain with a README that points folks to the new direction (in addition to the automatic redirect that github provides for the r4ss/r4ss URLs).
We can advertise the change to the r4ss repo more widely in the future as noted in r4ss/r4ss#815, but I think it's good to first have a clear plan for how nmfs-stock-synthesis will be moved into GitHub Enterprise. At this stage I'm just trying to clean up the stuff that folks don't care about.
Tagging @e-gugliotti-NOAA so she's up to date on this.
@iantaylor-NOAA, I don't need the examples I added to this repo, so feel free to delete this one, too, if you would like!
