Should operation instructions be stored with registers instead of direct memory addresses?

It used to be a design choice at the beginning, but I'm thinking of changing it.

Motive

It has some side effects that are, in my opinion, too unpredictable.

Example

&0 ^l "Hello!\n" ^n
&C ^l "Goodbye!\n" ^n
p
$0 ^l 12 ^n
!

will print Hello!.

Downsides

• It will make operation type-checking close to impossible.
