qBittorrent version: v4.6.6.10 (64-bit)

Enhanced edition (not supported by us)

macOS 15 (Sequoia)

Just released & has received no official testing by team, one of our dependencies Qt has support for this OS in Qt 6.8+
(We are still using Qt 6.4.3 / Qt 6.6.3 & Qt 6.7.2)

Thank you for providing the information. Could you kindly share a download link for QT version 6.8+ or Qt 6.4.3, Qt 6.6.3, and Qt 6.7.2? I have been unable to locate them and would greatly appreciate your help.

Hello everybody,
I'm a Mac user and just did the OS Sequoia update. Now my uTorrent Web ain't working anymore (I tried clearing cache) so I searched for an alternative and got here reading about qBittorrent. I tried to download it (both V. 4.6.7 and V. 5.0.0.rc1) but when I try to install any of them, my Mac blocks it with the following message: "Apple cannot verify that qbittorrent-5.0.0rc1.dmg does not contain malware that could harm your Mac or compromise your privacy"

Can someone advise me on what I can so?

I just wanna download some funny movies for my 6 years old :)

Thanks!

Nicole

This isn't really the correct forum for the question, but the error message tells you exactly how to fix it. You need to go to System Settings > Privacy and Security, scroll to the bottom, and select "Allow" next to qBittorrent.

Thanks a lot Jorsher and please excuse me for bothering, didn't mean to. I was able to install qBittorrent v4.6.7 on my Mac using Sequoia and via Pirate Bay get the movies I wanted. Thanks again!

@Roserparker Closing this ticket as it'd from an un-supported/forked edition.

@NicoleHelen Glad, you had your issue resolved.

I have a very curious problem: since I've installed Sequoia, all Torrent downloads are somehow blocked.

If I try the same thing on a older MacOS release (I tried 12.x - 14.x) the Torrents are downloaded without any problem.

It's like Sequoia is blocking everything what looks like a torrent download.

Always using VPN, same VPN, same configuration on all Macs and versions.

I don't know if I'm right here, but Google listed this as first suggestion.

Appreciate any reply.
