It has astounded me, for the last ~7 years, that qBittorrent always makes me go to a website to download an update, when it is literally a file distribution application and could easily be downloading ITS OWN UPDATE using bittorrent, and then automatically launching said update!!!
Why has nobody thought that it might just be a good idea to do this? It's so obvious!
So the official solution is to ignore the most obvious solution because it's "difficult". It's not even difficult. They justneed to buy a cheap single host somewhere, or find a donor host service. There are all kinds of open source hosting sites. Maybe one of them offers this as a built-in or separate service. Can't be that difficult!
