Sentiment Analysis for Hate Crime Detection

As rightly pointed out by RedHen, social media has gradually evolved into a platform for hate crime, especially against minorities- be it based on sex, color, race or religion. I think its a great idea to try and use Sentiment analysis to try and detect the threats that are often blatantly made before the actual occurrence of the crime.
For people interested in NLP and Sentiment Analysis, I feel this could be a great experience!
