This repository really needs a dedicated receiver application, rather than the cobbled together bash scripts we currently use.

Functions should include:

  • Allow definition of channels to observe. Group the channels into blocks that can be received within a single receiver passband (+/- ~22 kHz or so).
  • Automatically spinning up parallel demodulator chains as required with the required frequency estimator settings.
  • Have a scanning option, where the receiver dwells on each channel set for a user-defined period of time. If no packets are decoded move to the next channel set. The dwell time will probably need to be a few minutes long.
  • Handle packets received from all receiver channels and upload them to SondeHub-Amateur, and out to Horus UDP.
