A student was experiencing the following issues:

  • "Cannot insert object" when trying to add an ActiveX Control
  • an error when trying to call .Activate on a worksheet, although calling .Name on it was working fine

The solution was to:

Options->Trust center and enable ActiveX controls

This solution should be mentioned in the course materials about ActiveX Controls and/or Dev Env Setup if it isn't already.
