MiniDexed testers always wanted... :) #695

Current PR we'd like some testing on is this one: #690 I've been tinkering with the polyphony and number of Tone Generators possible on a PI 4 or 5, so it would be useful to know that all the existing configurations and Pi versions are still ok. Do add a comment to the PR if you get a chance to give it a spin. Thanks, |

Latest PR that it would be useful for people to give a bit of a shakedown if you get a moment: #704 There have been several builds now, so please try the last one. :) Kevin |

As we keep tinkering with the code, there is often a pull request sitting in the queue that would really benefit from a bit of general "has it broken anything" testing.
We just need people to load it up with their existing configurations to check their existing setups still work. For most changes, it is ok just to copy over the kernel*.img files, leaving everything else as it was.
If you know which version of Pi you're using then it could be as simple as rename the existing kernel on your SD card to .old or something and copy across the single replacement kernel file from the test build. Once it has had a bit of a shakedown, you can put the original back again so you know you're still on a released build.
Kernel files and Pi versions:
This will take a little effort and if something goes wrong, we'd need things like the HDMI log and details of your configuration, what you did, and what happened and so on to be able to follow it up. But it would also be really useful and help shake out odd issues whist the change is still being worked on.
If this is something you think you're able to do, then I'll try to remember to add replies to this post when there is a PR that it would be good to have people looking at.
