I am using the template CSV file. My question relates to the grey box (box11) titled "Records identified from: Websites, Organisations and Citation Searching."

I would like that grey box to look like this:

Records identified from:
Personal communication (n = 3)
Personal Endnote library search (Any field + PDF with notes) (n = 6)
Referenced by a record in "other methods" search (n = 1)
Referenced by a record in database search (n = 3)
Web (n = 15)

I have tried to (a) add rows to the template CSV file and (b) enter my preferred text using the "Register 1, xxx; Register 2, xxx; Register 3, xxx" type of format in cells H11, H12, and H13. Neither of these attempts worked.

I would appreciate any guidance that you could offer.

If it is not possible using the template CSV file, is it possible in R?

It is currently not possible, it would require a bit of modification to do this, but you could replace the labels within the CSV file for a maximum of 3 custom options. I'm going to leave this open but with a help wanted tag as I don't have capacity to add this currently!

Thanks @chriscpritchard. I managed to find a workaround:

  • Saved the PRISMA diagram generated by the Shiny app as a SVG file (thanks for allowing this format!)
  • Opened the SVG using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Edited the specific elements I need to change by following this video
  • When I was done editing, I selected all the PRISMA elements on the slide, grouped them, and then saved the group as a PNG file.
