I'd love to help. Please elaborate with a problem statement. Are we talking about page speed, memory, etc?

Also, please note that one can set #cache at any layer of the $page array. The keys and expiry logic are customizable by site developers. Lets see if this feature can solve some of the perceived problems.

In the last couple days, we've commenced a profiling extravaganza for apps on Pantheon that should give us some more concrete indications of the trouble (in Drupal and on Pantheon).
