We got duplicate icons marked with the source, but what if I want to completely avoid duplicates?

Is it possible to introduce an option to show only the icon of the .desktop file with highest priority? In some cases COSMIC launcher is already collapsing duplicate icons in only one, so it would be more consistent if also the app library could do that.
