I am Yoshi, and please let me ask for the papers for the presentation on 18 January (next Thursday). The Syllabus indicates that the next topic is "Prevalence of slack and matching function." On the other hand, the list on the homepage of Economic Slack says that next is "Overview of business-cycle models" (e.g., Kuhn (1957, chapters 1 and 5)). I would appreciate it if we could know the next papers for presentation. |

I'm so sorry about the confusion. Thank you for noticing the discrepancy between the syllabus and course page! Before Tuesday 16 January, you should watch both the lecture videos in Overview of business-cycle models and the lecture videos in Prevalence of slack and matching function. Before Thursday 18 January, you should read both the main readings in Overview of business-cycle models and the main readings in Prevalence of slack and matching function. (We will assign the presentations on Tuesday.) I realize that this is a lot of material. But since it is mostly high-level material—not technical material—and since you have not yet started on research, I am hoping it is feasible to absorb it. I have updated the syllabus to reflect the correct schedule. |
