Doesn't run on Debian stretch

Hello,

first of all thanks you for this initiative (the anylinux project). I was hoping i could run this on Debian 9 stretch but unfortunately I get the following error:

self updates disabled by /root/.config/auto-updates-policy/wine-update-setting 002c:fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" (6.0.0.0) wine: could not load kernel32.dll, status c0000135

I tried to run the following commands :

./wine-11.2-1-anylinux-x86_64.AppImage wine winecfg

and

./wine-11.2-1-anylinux-x86_64.AppImage wine torrent-file-editor-1.0.0-x32.exe

I also tried this way with no success :

./wine-11.2-1-anylinux-x86_64.AppImage [program]

Can you run APPIMAGE_DEBUG=1 ./wine-11.2-1-anylinux-x86_64.AppImage wine torrent-file-editor-1.0.0-x32.exe or similar command then send me the logs

I just did and I get the same error.

It's not that crucial to me so don't waste too much time on this. I just thought it would have been cool for me to be able to run a new wine version on Debian 9.

@thenoobtester what happens if you export LIBGL_KOPPER_DRI2=1?

@fiftydinar the log also shows that libharfbuzz.so is missing. That one depends on libgraphite, glib and a few other libs as result.

edit: nvm you fixed that already.

Just booted a Ubuntu 14.04 VM, which is much older than debian stretch and it works:

The issue is most likely that the Intel anv driver needs a relative new kernel to work (hence the DRI3 errors).

LIBGL_KOPPER_DRI2=1 should fix that issue, if not you would then need to try LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 although that will give you bad performance.
