Minder requires up to 3 double-clicks to open a file from the file browser (1.13.1) #561
Comments
I'm fairly confident that this issue was fixed in a later version of Minder. The latest Minder version is 1.15.2, I believe. |
The mint repositories only offer version 1.13.1, but i saw that Mintinstall (the software manager) also offers version 1.15.1 via flathub. Then indeed I can try it this way. |
That version should be better in regards to this issue. |
Just tested ; yes it is :-) Thanks a lot |
Indeed it's better but i still get "double-double-clic" problem with certain files : fail to open minder on the first double-click. Probably the ones that were created with 1.13.1 version |
I'm not seeing any issues with opening files with more than a single double-click on a file. The window may not become the front-most window when it happens, but the file is loaded without any issues (at least on my end with 1.15.5). |
Hello, I'm running Minder 1.13.1 into linux mint 21.2; cinnamon environment version 5.8.4. Opening a *.minder file by double-clicking from the file-browser (nemo) has been a systematic problem since I switched to minder 1.13.1. The most common situation is that the double-click causes Minder to open, with a very brief appearance of the desired map, but immediately replaced by a new, empty map. I found a trick by accident: I double-click the desired file in the file-browser a second time, and this time Minder reappears with the correct file. Another variant of the situation that also happens quite often: when I double-click on the *.minder file, nothing happens ... nothing at all. Here too, my trick works, but I have to do it 2 more times : the first time nothing happens, the second time Minder opens an empty map, and the third time Minder opens the desired map. However, I'm very pleased that version 1.13.1 has solved the previous bug with custom themes (in my case, they were unusable and caused the program to crash, but this has now been resolved, thanks).
