KeePass 2.39.1
ChromeIPass 2.8.1
KeePassHttp 1.8.4.2
Windows 10 x64 1803
Chrome 67.0.3396.99 x64

I have 3 databases open in KP2. When I have any DB but the 1st opened selected and attempt to fill credential fields, ChromeIPass reports:

chromeIPass has not been configured. Press the connect button to register and pair with KeePassHttp.

Re-registering with a new key and then reconnecting resolves the issue until the next time I have a DB other than the first selected.

I have the same issue as "tarminiu" with 2 databases.
Each time I need to use one or the other DB, I have to switch on the right Keepass database and re-registering them. In the "connected database", only one is registered ... when trying to add a new one, nothing happen or it replace the first one by the second one.
Any idea about what's going on or how to fix this strange behavior?
