mern chat app Socket.io

Project Decription:-

  • So the chat application is developed using react node.js and Socket.io .

Our Projeco constst 2 main file

  • public (Front-end) yarn start
  • Server (Back-end) yarn start

Install dependancy in Server

npm i bcrypt cors dotenv express mongoose socket.io

How to run server

yarn start

What is CORS in simple terms?

  • Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS) is an HTTP-header based mechanism that allows a server to indicate any origins (domain, scheme, or port) other than its own from which a browser should permit loading resources.
