Publish as a package on PyPI

Hi,

I really like this project! I was thinking about hacking together something like this myself,
but thankfully I've found your work. It was super nice to convert an epub to audio.
The only thing that struck me a bit odd was, that there is no package available on PyPI to install epub_to_audiobook via pip. Is this for a reason, or would you like help in packaging and publishing?

Hi @david-haerer. Thanks for reaching out. In fact, I'm not very familiar with releasing versions on PyPI, and I'm afraid of relying on another platform for distribution. I remember the PyPI platform seemed to have been hacked. When I usually use Python-related software, I always create a new virtualenv, so for me, whether or not to release on PyPI doesn't make much difference.

I would love to hear your thoughts.

I see, so right now potential users have to download the epub_to_audiobook source code and install the dependencies in a virtual environment to use it.

The first step would be to create a package (.whl or .tar.gz), that can be installed locally with pip. This could also be added to the GitHub releases, so users only have to download the package and install it locally. This automatically installs all dependencies. The package can also include a script, so that the app can be invoked directly (e.g. epub_to_audiobook instead of python3 main.py).

The second step would be to publish the package to PyPI, so that the user can install it directly with pip and does not have to download the package manually.

Personally, I use poetry as an all-in-one solution using the pyproject.toml file (defining dependencies, setting the script, building the package, publishing to PyPI). But there are other alternatives like uv, or the classic option with build and twine.

To install epub_to_audiobook with pip, Ive created the following pyproject.toml` file:

Then I ran poetry build and pipx install dist/epub_to_audiobook_0_6_1-0.6.1-py3-none-any.whl to install it. Now I can use the epub-to-audiobook command anywhere on my system.
