What's going on with the GSOC things?

Hey there,

I've been looking around and I saw these things sitting at the bottom of the list, in 2022, each one with some chatter but it doesn't seem that anything was raised? Is this correct?

I've been building this stuff for months in SVG and in plain HTML/CSS (all within a React frame-work). The website explains the "why" including the vagueness and generic language

I have zoomable charts, which is a different way of solving label issues, though I also have another way of doing this that I think would work on a map but not a Scatter, I could do country particians easily, but that file is gone. And I got the labels centred on the map - two options there, to calculate on the fly, or I actualy just put it into an array as it's not going to change a great deal

(yes, I lifted the path from the maps here, I converted it into an array which can be used for paths or polygons, polygons allows foreignObject, maybe paths do to though, edge of knowledge, note the map will be returned, it's just messy right now, it'll just be an array of numbers with extra bits probably)

It seems somewhat by chance I'm doing exactly the same thing as you. Are those tasks done? Mine are moving, and happening regardless I expect, in my context: as you can see. Keeping them centred is not working on this one yet
