Project maintenance status and v6.0.0 release date

First, thanks for all your work on this project!

I had two quick questions:

How has the project been maintained over the past year? I noticed some activity gaps and wanted to understand the current status and plans moving forward (e.g., active maintainers, roadmap).

Is there an estimated release date or status update for v6.0.0? I saw some references to it but couldn’t find a definitive timeline.
Would really appreciate any insights. Thanks again!

@WantDead, have you started using the 6.0 alpha? Any feedback? We are still working on a few features for v6, followed by a mandatory security assessment, so the GA release is a while away. With regular community testing and feedback, we can get there sooner.
