Password-less public links can only be read-only

Hello, we set OC_SHARING_PUBLIC_SHARE_MUST_HAVE_PASSWORD=false to enable password-less public links. But this seems to work only for read-only access.

If I switch a new link to "editable", then the password dialogue pops up. If I try to close it by not entering a password, I get an error. Yet, the link is displayed as editable. However, it actually is not:

Is it possible to make public, editable, password-less links? And if so, how? Yes, it is a feature I want, especially since with the above setting, there seems to be no longer an option to copy link & password onto the clipboard at once.

There seems to be something wrong on your end, this config should work for all types of links.

Are you sure you're setting the config correctly? You can verify this via the browser network. There should be an initial request to ocs/v1.php/cloud/capabilities. Its response should include an object enforced_for: { ... }. Setting OC_SHARING_PUBLIC_SHARE_MUST_HAVE_PASSWORD=false should lead to all values inside that object to be false.

This is a cool interface, and you're right: it's not false. I asked the hoster to set this variable, but I guess maybe I mistyped it. I will ask again and come back to this issue once I find out more.
