I have built a WisBlock Base Board RAK19007 with the Nordic nRF52840 SX1262, LoRa/Bluetooth Module - RAK4630an, with an 0.96" SSD1306 I2C IIC SPI Serial 128X64 OLED LCD Display. The problem is, this OLED LCD Display is so very small making it difficult to see from any distance. I purchased a 2.42” SSD1309 I2C IIC SPI Serial 128X64 OLED LCD Display believing it would also work. According to various blogs, a few are saying it is a direct replacement for the SSD1306. However, looking at the drivers for both, the SSD1309 is not.
My issue is, if I add this to a custom installment, I will not be able to install the latest firmware upgrade without a lot of hassles.
Is there any way of modifying the code-base to include the SSD1309 firmware to the code base?
