Android App shows incorrect state "Not Connected" when using IP

Android App Version: 2.5.16

My Heltec v3 board is connected to my wifi.
When I connect to the board in the Android App via it's IP address then at first everything works as expected. The App shows the state as "Connected" and the UI works.

But after my phone goes to sleep after being idle, the App shows the state as "Not Connected" and the UI doesn't allow you to send messages or interact with nodes in the Contact list. However, I can see new packages in the Debug Panel, the Contact list keeps refreshing and I get notifications about new nodes etc showing that I am still connected to the board. This seems to be a bug
