How to use marpit plugins within marp-cli?

I would like to use extended markdown syntax by using marpit plugins. There is documentation available on how to do this within marpit, but how should I proceed to install these plugins in order to use them within marp-cli?

Try using Marp CLI's functional engine. There is documentation too: https://github.com/marp-team/marp-cli#functional-engine

It's not difficult. Just replace markdown-it-mark into markdown-it-container, and add arguments with referring Marpit docs.

Great! But how could I specify also the required CSS style for the "columns" container? In other words, how should I include this part of the marpit example?

You should use your own theme CSS, or <style> tag in your Markdown. Probably the later one would be easy for you.

Please notice Marpit documentation is for developer who wants to use Marp's essential part through the framework. marpit.themeSet.add() means registering custom theme CSS into the framework.

I'm trying to replicate this example or what is described at https://github.com/marp-team/marp-cli#functional-engine but I get

npx marp --engine ./engine.mjs --html -p slides.md
[ ERROR ] The specified engine has not resolved.

Is there a way to get more helpful debug output?
