Integration with gitlab

First and foremost, I want to commend you on the excellent user interface and project management capabilities offered by plane.so. The ability to manage projects and cycles in a user-friendly manner is truly remarkable. However, as a product manager, I have encountered challenges when it comes to synchronizing the work between the technical and product teams.

One major issue we have faced is the duplication of work and the lack of synchronization between the development teams. It has been difficult for product managers to keep track of what each team is currently working on and whether the tasks and tickets have been completed. Currently, we are required to create multiple tickets in GitLab for different developers and quality control (QC) specifically, due to the absence of an API in GitLab that allows us to fetch tasks within issues.

To address this issue, it would be immensely valuable if plane.so could provide a seamless integration with GitLab issues. This integration would enable us to link GitLab issues with the corresponding issues in plane.so, thereby allowing us to assess the progress and completion status of tasks. Having this functionality would greatly enhance our ability to evaluate the level of completion and adherence to schedules.

Previously, we have tried using other product management software; however, due to the lack of synchronization with GitLab, these tools have not provided much value beyond updating a few core issues for shareholders, capturing feedback, and scoring issues.

In conclusion, I want to emphasize the importance of integrating plane.so with GitLab to streamline our workflow and improve collaboration between the technical and product teams. By linking GitLab issues with plane.so issues, we can effectively assess task completion and track progress in real-time, leading to more efficient project management.
