Generally speaking, it is commonly believed that cross-chain interactions are limited to interoperation between different blockchain networks. However, this understanding is rather narrow. A blockchain represents a new type of decentralised cryptographic settlement system. In a broader sense, many concepts and use cases of cross-chain technology can actually extend to cross-domain applications. Here, 'domain' includes traditional financial systems or Real-World Assets (RWA), among others, and vice versa.
