Fix inconsistent text selection

Interacting with the UI using a mouse feels pretty bad, because the cursor's visual position doesn't match the position it will select text from. Selecting text without grabbing the previous line on accident is a 50/50. It's even worse in the chat panel because it also has a chance to have a horizontal offset.

To reproduce: Select any text.
You can ensure you select the correct character by imagining where your mouse cursor actually is and keeping it near the bottom of the character you're trying to select from.

I believe this is also an issue caused by non monospace characters?

Something that would also be neat is id (at least in the meantime) there was a setting to have the game not hide the system cursor.
