As the title says. Some way to see how long a token has until it expires would be really useful.

An in-game notification if a token is close to expiring would also be great, so I don't have to figure out calendar fuckery.

Also, some clarification around token expiration and if they can be "refreshed" by entering a chat pass again would be great.

My suggestion would be to start handing out JWTs instead, allowing external consumers to utilise nbf and exp.

An alternative would be a bespoke format, but using an existing standard would likely be the simplest. Not stuck on JWTs, but it's what I'm most familiar with 🤣

dtr and I did some brainstorming in ye olden days and discovered there's something of a standard for this?
RFC7615 (which has been folded into the big HTTP Semantics RFC9110 now) defines an Authentication-Info response header that servers can send to include info about the provided authentication.
So a minimal solution here could be to start returning a header like Authentication-Info: expires-at=<ruby-timestamp> in the API responses.
