I'm currently working on a write-up/proposal on changes to roles, teams, and permissions on GitHub (and Discord on a smaller scale). I've opened this thread to invite any questions, comments, or requests before I post it later.
A couple of the general things I have in mind:
Consolidate teams, thinking only 3 (Forge Maintainers, Library Maintainers, Triage)
Forge Maintainers and Library Maintainers would be sub-teams under the main "Core" team.
Re-evaluating the members of the Triage team.
Re-evaluating the role structure of the Discord server.
An idea I have would be the following order: Admin (un-hoisted), Core Team, Moderators, Triage Team, Patrons
My rational for this will be included in the write-up.
Granting precise permissions for each of the GitHub teams, and cleaning up project-level permissions.
