date range filter on the top of the screen

Hi,

I have created table that shows the list of purchases with customer name, product name, price and quantity etc. I know how to put filters on the top of each column but I would like to put a date range on the top of the screen so that the admins can view this data based on date range or other columns that are not part of the layout tables. For example, the table shows customer name, product name, qty sold, price and date of purchase but the filters on top shows date range, city, purchase range etc. How can I achieve this? I was not able to find any example for this
