Disable searching and sorting

I've a feature request to discuss: it would be nice if searching and sorting in the element itself could be disabled via options. In my specific use case I use an API-endpoint that already does searching and sorting and the built-in searching and sorting interferes with the results from this API-endpoint. So, in this case I would like to re-create all non-selected options and show them all without any further searching and sorting in the element itself.
